Are you passionate about improving clinical safety and quality in healthcare? Join the Department of Health as a Quality, Information and Online Services Officer, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting clinical systems improvement. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change across Tasmania's health system, working with a dynamic team focused on clinical safety, quality improvement and innovation.
The Role:
- Coordinate and maintain online systems and content to support quality assurance, patient safety, and development initiatives across publicly funded health service areas.
- Deliver high-level communications and project support, including reports, briefing papers and policy documentation to inform decision-making and progress program priorities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and accessible information is available on quality, clinical risk, accreditation, engagement and regulatory standards.
You will need:
- Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in, quality and patient safety systems, including information management, online databases, and platforms.
- High level interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop documentation and online content; and commitment to appropriately involve, negotiate, and consult with QPSS staff across the services/regions and other relevant stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project work including planning, implementation, and evaluation of new initiatives, requiring a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability in an environment subject to work pressure, competing priorities, ambiguity, and change.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 20 January 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary $81,915 - $94,263 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
